The food and bread is absolutely amazing. I loveddddd the currant rolls near Christmas. The owner may be a bit intimidating, as what she says is what goes!

This is an old school bakery serving up everything from fresh bread (sliced while you wait), doughnuts, as well as seasonal favorites like lefse & Norwegian Christmas bread. There's extra parking on the east side of the building. Small spot inside to enjoy a coffee & pastry with a friend.

Excellent bakery! One of the best ever! This business has been around forever and owned by several generations. Nice location, with lots of quaint shops around it. Sometimes friendly service and sometimes not!

My dad lived here back in the 70s? And knew one of the children of the original owner. He brought me here as a child and introduced me to one of their products. Since that fateful day, I’ve always held this place in high regard. Now I live in Spokane. Just last week, I persuaded a coworker to bring back two dozen cookies and shared with them others. My office, a large state agency, is now enthralled with these cookies. I certainly wish this place would ship ‘em, but the inability to get these on a consistent basis makes them even more desirable. As we know - absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Great breads and pastries.

This place is awesome! They have the best peanut butter cookies I've ever had! They have all sorts of Norwegian pastries I've never heard of. Old fashion fruit cake and almond paste pastries.

First visit I was saddened by the heavy set woman.... abrasive.........I found her unpleasant. The other woman was wonderful! First impressions are so important! I most likely will not go back. The doughnuts were very good and the rye bread is also very good, but I will not patronize a local business if they make me feel unwanted. Sad!

I love this place. Everything they make is great. My favorite is the triple berry loaf. Then there is the fresh out of the oven CINNAMON ROLLS! Absolutely fantastic!

This place has great baked goods and a varied selection. It can get busy at times but worth the wait.

Well the Bread smelled good, the fat short overweight, bitchy, person who acted like she ran the world did not, what an ass, I will not ever go to this place again, have lived in this town a long time with long time people from this area, was never treated o badly by said FAT person who was very rude and disrespectful to me and my wife. Good luck trying to stay open, I see why small business' don't work out.

I had the smoked turkey sandwich. It came with the option of tomatoes or cranberries. The cranberries were great! The sandwiches are very big. My husband and I probably could have just shared one. We'll definitely be back!

I absolutely love this bakery. I have been trying to take my husband here, because he has never been to the bakery. But of course, I cannot figure out when exactly they are opened. Does anyone know their exact hours of operation?

My husband and I moved to the area about a year ago and wanted to try this place out, but he deployed before we got the chance. Well, he's finally home and we were so excited to go try it out with the kids, but we were so incredibly disappointed by the way we were treated by the woman behind the counter. She was short, rude, and acted inconvenienced by our questions. My husband was then overcharged when she charged us for the apple pie she had so rudely told us they didn't have. That was definitely our first and last trip to this neighborhood bakery.

Best bakery around! Everything is made daily with no chemicals or preservatives. Family owned since the early 50s! What more could you ask for?!

Stopped in this great little bakery for a cup of coffee and some pastries. Also tried the Leyden cheese. Yummy. And the orange bread is fantastic! The ladies there were very friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back.

I have enjoyed coming to this bakery for at least 50 years and have never been disappointed with the service or quality of their delicious breads and cookies and many other surprises. It has been operated by the same family for 65 years!!

The sign caught my attention but that was the best thing. The two ladies were not very friendly. Nothing about it made it seem "Dutch". Simple cookies and pastries, nothing special.

love this bakery. you can get Pullman loaves if you order them and they will even slice them the long way for you. their fruit breads are to die for. I always see a smile when I'm there.

Awesome pastries and breads, Mary in the mornings is delightful. Items sell out fast on weekends so get in early. The maple persian and danishes are the best around.
